5. Modifications to Services & Products

We may update, modify, or discontinue products, services, or content at any time. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation, but we will aim to provide reasonable notice where practicable.

Product images may include lifestyle visuals for inspiration and do not neccesarily imply product availability.
Descriptions, specifications, and availability are indicative and may change without notice.
All products are intended for trade use only.

7. Account & Ordering

Order quantities may be limited at our discretion.
Trade clients must maintain accurate billing, shipping, and account information.

We may provide access to third-party tools (“Optional Tools”) “as is” without endorsement. Use is at your own discretion.

Title to goods passes upon full payment.

If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.

17. Termination

We may terminate access for breach of these Terms. Obligations incurred prior to termination survive.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with referenced policies, constitute the entire agreement between Barringer & West and the client.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

 RETURNS & REFUNDS

This Return & Refund Policy sets out the terms under which returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled by Barringer & West (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) for trade purchases, sourcing requests, and project-based procurement made through www.barringerwest.com (the “Site”).

Barringer & West operates as a professional sourcing and procurement partner. Our offering includes limited in-stock items, special-order collections, and project-specific sourcing from local and international suppliers. As many items are sourced, produced, or allocated specifically per order, returns are limited and subject to approval.

Clients are encouraged to review specifications, finishes, dimensions, quantities, and lead times carefully prior to order confirmation.

30 Day Return Window (In-Stock Items Only)

Returns are accepted on eligible, in-stock items only within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify, items must be:

Unused and in original condition
In original packaging (including protective materials, tags, and labels)
Accompanied by valid proof of purchase
Items returned without prior approval or not meeting these conditions may be declined.

How Returns Work

Approval required:


All returns must be requested and approved in writing before shipment.

Return shipping:


Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the client unless the item was received damaged or incorrectly supplied.

Return Shipping & Handling

Large or Fragile Items:


Approved returns on large, fragile, or bulky items may be subject to a handling or restocking fee of up to 15%.

Courier:


Returns must be sent via a tracked and insured courier. Barringer & West is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

Sourced, Special-Order & Project Items

Items that are sourced, produced, imported, or allocated specifically for a client or project are non-returnable and non-refundable once an order has been confirmed.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Made-to-order and special-order items
Client-specific or project-allocated sourcing
International supplier orders and imports
Order confirmation constitutes acceptance of supplier terms and a binding commitment to the sourcing process.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:

Bespoke, made-to-order, or special-order pieces
Project-sourced or client-specific items
Items damaged after delivery, installation, or misuse
International shipments
Handcrafted or artisan-produced décor
Personalised or customised items
Bedding (linen, duvet covers, pillows, etc.)
Crockery, cutlery, and kitchenware (for hygiene reasons)

Exchanges & Trade Credit

Where a return is approved for an eligible in-stock item, clients may choose:

A refund to the original payment method
An exchange for another available in-stock item
A Trade Account credit for future purchases
Approved returns are processed within 7–10 business days of receipt and inspection.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If an item arrives damaged or incorrectly supplied:

Notify us within 24 hours of delivery
Provide clear photographic evidence
Retain all original packaging
Once verified, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost, where applicable.

 SHIPPING TERMS

These Shipping Terms apply exclusively to verified trade clients purchasing through
 www.barringerwest.com, operated by Barringer & West (Pty) Ltd (“Barringer & West”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By placing an order, you confirm that you are an approved trade account holder and agree to these Shipping Terms, read together with our Terms of Service and Returns Policy.

1. Logistics & Courier Partners

We use trusted logistics partners, including DHL Express, DHL Global, and The Courier Guy, for domestic and international deliveries. All shipments are subject to the operational standards, handling policies, and limitations of the selected courier.

2. Dispatch & Delivery Timeframes

Locally Stocked Items (South Africa)

Dispatched within 14 business days from order confirmation.

Exclusive Imported Décor

Estimated delivery 6–8 weeks, subject to international transit schedules, customs clearance, and local handling.

Bespoke & Made-to-Order (South African Production)

Standard lead time 6–8 weeks.

Imported Bespoke & Made-to-Order (Netherlands Hub)

Estimated delivery 12–14 weeks via standard international freight.

Note: All timeframes are indicative and may be affected by customs, public holidays, supplier lead times, shipping congestion, or Force Majeure events.

3. Shipping Rates

South Africa

Orders over R2,800.00: Complimentary standard delivery
Orders under R1,800.00: Flat rate R200.00

International

Eurozone Décor (Netherlands Dispatch): Shipping, duties, and VAT included.

Eurozone Furniture (Netherlands Dispatch): Quoted per order.

International Dispatch from South Africa: Quoted per order based on destination, volume, and handling.

Expedited & Priority Shipping

Available by special quotation.

4. Trade Projects & Bulk Shipments

Barringer & West can arrange bulk and container-load shipments via DHL Global, including direct-to-site delivery within Southern Africa and internationally.

Custom quotations will account for timelines, site access, customs documentation, and handling requirements.

5. Order Tracking & Notifications

Tracking information will be provided where available once an order is dispatched.
 We will keep trade clients informed of any significant delays using the contact details linked to the trade account.

6. Product Availability & Split Shipments

Where an order contains items with varying availability:

Available items held in South Africa or at our Netherlands Hub will ship immediately.

Outstanding items will follow once available.

If an item is discontinued or permanently unavailable, we will propose an alternative or issue a refund.

7. Bespoke & Made-to-Order Items

Bespoke, handmade, and made-to-order items are produced specifically for each trade order. Lead times vary by supplier, material availability, and destination, and are indicated on the product page.
These items are non-cancellable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable, except where defects or transit damage are confirmed.

8. Duties, Taxes & VAT

All prices are clearly indicated as inclusive or exclusive of VAT.
For international deliveries, any additional customs duties or taxes imposed by the destination country are managed by Barringer & West as part of the delivery process, unless otherwise agreed.

9. Risk, Title & Transit Liability

Title to the goods passes to the client upon full payment.
Risk remains with Barringer & West until the goods are safely delivered to the client’s designated address or project site.

Barringer & West arranges shipments using trusted carriers and undertakes all reasonable care to ensure safe transit. Clients may arrange additional insurance for high-value items. Barringer & West will assist in resolving any claims arising from carrier damage or loss.

1. Shipping

Do you offer complimentary shipping?


Yes. Complimentary shipping applies to décor orders exceeding R2,800 within South Africa.

Orders below this threshold incur a flat delivery fee of R500.

Shipping for imported furniture, oversized items, or project-based orders is quoted on a case-by-case basis, reflecting volume, destination, and handling requirements.

Do you ship internationally?


Yes. International shipments are facilitated through approved logistics partners, including DHL Global and DHL Express.

All international deliveries are quoted individually and are subject to destination-specific regulations, customs processes, and carrier terms.

2. What are your delivery lead times?


Delivery timelines are estimates and commence once full payment has been received and the order has been confirmed.
Locally stocked items: 5–7 business days (within South Africa)
Exclusive imported décor items: Approximately 6–8 weeks
Bespoke items manufactured in South Africa: Approximately 6–8 weeks
Specially imported bespoke products: Approximately 12–14 weeks (estimate only and subject to final supplier confirmation)
Delays arising from customs clearance, logistics providers, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control may occur. Barringer & West shall not be liable for such delays but will communicate material updates where possible.

3. Can I track my order?


Yes. Once an order has been dispatched, tracking details will be provided via email where available.

4. Returns & Refunds

What is your returns policy?


All return requests must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of delivery and are subject to approval. Approved returns must be received within 30 days of delivery.
Returned items must be unused, uninstalled, and in their original condition and packaging, accompanied by proof of purchase. Acceptance of a return remains at our sole discretion and is governed by our Terms of Service.

Which items are non-returnable?


The following items are strictly non-returnable:
Special import items (except where transit damage is verified)
Custom, bespoke, or made-to-order furniture
Handcrafted or personalised items
Bedding, crockery, and cutlery (for hygiene and handling reasons)

Who is responsible for return shipping costs?


All return shipping, handling, and insurance costs are for the client’s account and will be deducted from any approved refund, unless the return arises from a verified defect or an error attributable to Barringer & West.

5. Products & Stock Availability

Are your products ready-made or custom-produced?


We offer a combination of locally stocked items and products manufactured or sourced to order. Lead times are indicative only and are disclosed on product pages or confirmed at order stage.

What happens if an item becomes unavailable after ordering?


In the unlikely event where an item is unavailable or discontinued, we will notify you and offer one of the following options:

Await revised availability
Select an alternative product
Receive a refund for the affected item only

Barringer & West shall not be liable for consequential losses arising from stock unavailability.

Will product colours and finishes match exactly as shown online?


Product imagery is representative only. Variations in colour, texture, scale, and finish may occur due to screen calibration, lighting conditions, and natural material characteristics.

6. Special Projects & Trade Enquiries

Do you deliver directly to project sites?


Yes. As a trade-focused supplier, we support local and cross-border project deliveries, including partial and full container loads. Site access, offloading requirements, and delivery constraints must be disclosed in advance and may affect pricing and timelines.

Yes. All prices displayed are inclusive of VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.
